Visual Effects

As a VFX programmer for Handshake Firm, I created several complex shaders to improve the visual fidelity and polished feel of the game.

Responsibilities:

  • Extended the rendering pipeline of the engine, enabling the use of shaders and post-processing effects.

  • Enhanced visual fidelity of the game with the use of fragment shaders, particles and effects.

  • Debugged various performance issues at the final stage of product development, improving frame rate from 15 FPS to well over 100 FPS.

  • Created a VFX API that allows users to execute visual effects and modify their properties at runtime.
